If you’ve ever opened Instagram, stared at the blank caption box and closed the app again, this is for you.
The problem usually isn’t a lack of ideas. It’s starting from zero every single day. Below are 30 post ideas grouped into five jobs your content can do, plus a simple weekly plan to put them to work.
Start with one question
Before you post, ask: what does my customer need today? Not next month. Today. Maybe they need an answer to a question, proof that your product works, help choosing, or a reminder that you exist. Start from their need and the posts get easier to write.
Teach (builds trust)
- A tip they can use today
- A mistake you see customers make
- How to use your product 3 ways
- A customer’s question, answered
- Myth vs. fact in your industry
- A quick how-to
Show (builds connection)
- Behind the scenes of your workspace
- How it’s made
- Pack an order with me
- A day in your business
- Your desk or studio setup
- Restock or new-arrival day
Prove (builds belief)
- A real customer review (with permission)
- A before and after
- A customer’s photo with your product (with permission)
- A result, explained
- “What customers say first”
- Your best seller and why people love it
Connect (builds loyalty)
- Why you started
- A lesson you learned the hard way
- Your values, in your words
- Meet the team (or meet you)
- A question for your audience
- A win you’re proud of
Sell (makes money)
- Your offer, said clearly: what it is, who it’s for, how to get it
- What’s new this week
- A bundle or gift idea
- Your FAQs, answered
- “This is for you if…”
- A limited batch or seasonal item (only if it’s real)
A simple weekly posting plan
You don’t need to post every day. Five posts a week, each with a job, is plenty:
- Monday: Teach. A tip they can use today.
- Tuesday: Show. Behind the scenes.
- Wednesday: Prove. A real review or result.
- Thursday: Connect. Your story or why you started.
- Friday: Sell. Your offer, said clearly.
Four days of value make the fifth day of selling feel natural, not pushy. Can only manage three posts? Do Teach, Prove and Sell.
Make every post easier
- Lead with their problem. Skip “Hey guys, so today…” and open with what they’re dealing with.
- One idea per post. Don’t cram three tips into one caption.
- End with one call to action. Save this, share it, comment, or tap the link.
- Reuse your best ideas. A good tip can be a post, a reel, a carousel and an email.
Your next step
Pick 5 ideas from this list, one for each day of the weekly plan, and write them down now. That’s next week done.
